Custom Commission Pricing FAQ

How does pricing work for custom projects?

I use a two-phase pricing model to keep things flexible and fair for both of us:

1. Initial Estimate Range

After our discovery call, I’ll provide a rough estimate range based on your project’s size, materials, and general complexity. This gives you a ballpark idea of where pricing may land.

Custom commissions start at $5,000, with most projects ranging between $6,000–15,000 depending on size, materials, and complexity.

2. Design Phase + Final Price

Once we decide to move forward, I charge a flat $2,000 design fee, credited toward the final build cost once approved. This covers sketching concepts, exploring materials, developing 3D models, and refining details through feedback. During this phase, we’ll look at design options across different price points so you have clear choices. Once you select a direction, I’ll provide a final, fixed project price, confirmed before any production begins.

Why this approach?

Custom furniture is all about details. I’ve found that locking in a price too early either limits your options or leads to unexpected surprises down the line. This model keeps things clear and lets us focus on building exactly what you want.
